
Accommodations and Benefits
Student participants will receive the following:
Exposure to start-of-the-art research facilities at the University of Miami
Mentoring by internationally-recognized faculty who are passionate about coastal resilience research
Stipend of $600/week for about 9 or 10 weeks
Free on-campus undergraduate housing (main Coral Gables campus) for 10 weeks
Free transportation for field trips to locally-relevant centers related to coastal resilience research
Guidance to develop themselves both personally and professionally through hands-on workshops and seminars
Opportunities to showcase and present their research on campus
Coaching to prepare applications to graduate school and the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)
Lakeside Village student housing on the Coral Gables campus
